Member clubs ratify RFU Board and Council appointments

RFU member clubs have ratified the decisions made by the RFU Board and Council to appoint the following people to roles for the 2023-24 season. All roles will begin on 1 August 2023.

With the appointments of Auriol Stevens and Kirsty Marlor to the RFU Board from 1 August, gender parity will be reached in the twelve positions. Confirmation of Deborah Griffin as the incoming Junior Vice President sets the unions on course to have its first female President at the time of the home Rugby World Cup in 2025.

The RFU Board appointments include:

Auriol Stevens as Independent Non-Executive Director for a term of 1 August 2023 until 31 July 2026 .
David Roberts as Chair of the Community Game Board for a term of 1 August 2023 until 31 July 2026
Deborah Griffin OBE as a World Rugby Representative for a term of 1 August 2023 until 31 July 2024
Jonathan Webb as a World Rugby Representative and Council Elected Director for a term of 1 August 2023 until 31 July 2024
Kirsty Marlor as a Council Elected Director for a term of 1 August 2023 until 31 July 2026

The decisions were also to elect the RFU Council Presidential team for the 2023-24 season who are:
